I have owned this laptop for 5 months now and I love it. It is small and light enough to make it enjoyable to carry around and use wherever you want. The battery really does last 12 hours, more or less depending on what you are using it for, I don’t time how long it lasts but I use it everyday and only have to plug it in once or twice a week. It has a nice customizable power savings plan that makes it easy to set up profiles for your different needs. The touchpad is very responsive and the multitouch features work well. It can play HD videos and output them over the HDMI output to a TV with no problem keeping up. Even with the processing power restricted to save power it easily can handle multiple browser pages, music playing, office documents open, and still blaze through all the aesthetically pleasing features of Windows 7 to switch between open programs. I highly recommend this laptop to anyone who wants an ultra portable that can still handle more intensive operations when needed.
This is without a doubt the best little computer I have ever owned. I love it. It’s small, powerful, and Windows 7 is great. It has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Battery life is amazing, screen resolution is beautiful, there’s an HDMI output and 3 USB ports. Unfortunately there’s no built-in bluetooth so I’ve had to add a USB bluetooth adapter to use a small wireless travel mouse, which mitigates the one possible negative factor, being the touch pad. However, it’s not that bad and simple to disable with a function key hit.
Oh, and by the way, this is my 9th PC over the years, including 4 laptops and 5 desktops. My first was a windows 3.11 machine back in 1995. This laptop/OS combo is the best I’ve ever used, no question.
This laptop is light, stylish, fast and reliable, so far… I have nothing but praise for it. Well done ASUS! EXACTLY what I wanted.
in this post. I’m certain I’m not the only one to think so.
